The kids and I had a big day today...
First, we went to visit Steve @ good ole PHS. Lukas drew a very colorful drawing with Papa's help and got to learn a little bit about pottery. Steve is retiring this year and has about 2 weeks left of actual employment. Woohoo! Steve has 2 XBOX 360 consules to keep him busy along with a plethora of games to keep him out of trouble. When he gets tired of that, I could think of about 100 things he could do around the 6 acres of land they have + huge house. I mean, if he doesn't want to be in my cooking club, then what else is he going to do?! :) (love you, Stevey-poo!)
Then we walked down to see Grandma Barbie in the library. Ella got her picture taken with several books and Lukas got to play with the library's frog named "Hopscotch". Luckily Hopscotch is a busy frog so Lukas could play with (and kill) him. So, we all left alive and well!
By that time I was hungry (check the clock: 10:15am). We headed to Nanny's house and ate her out of house and home. In usual Nanny style, we had spaghetti with homemade rolls, green beans and 'weenie wraps'. I had 2, but whatever. I told Nanny my figure could probably only afford to eat there once a month. But boy howdy, it's good stuff! Papa Boat (aka Von Bowman) stopped by to see the kids and 'get kisses'. Have I mentioned how much I love grandparents?!
Now we're back home and Lukas is taking a nap and Ella is entertaining herself pushing a straw across the floor.
I'm one lucky girl...
You are one lucky girl! And the kids are so lucky. I loved your dad's art classes...I learned so much in them. Can't believe he's retiring...please tell him congrats for me. And Mrs. B! I have to say that she's one of the sweetest ladies I've ever had the pleasure of knowing...please tell her hi for me...
