Amy Bowman Photography

Well, I finally made a little signature for myself and put it on a picture. Maybe I just didn't find any photos I took to be worthy of my name on it, but I was so excited that the images from Addison's little photo shoot turned out the way I saw them in my mind. Have you ever taken a picture and thought it was going to be great and then when you looked at it you were disappointed. Well, that happens, but something magical happened recently and it's got me all energized again. Ah, I love it when that happens!

So, here are three of the images with a very offical looking "Amy Bowman Photography" on them.

I just thought this one was fun!

Mark Twain said it best...

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.

Explore. Dream. Discover.

Old Henry

Came across a great quote today from Henry David Thoreau:

The question is not what you look at, but what you see.
Happy Friday!

Motivation

There's nothing like having people over to motivate me to get those projects around the house done. Last night Brad and I decided we were going to get serious about painting the kitchen table and chairs white. They are currently black. Can you say primer? ;)

In addition to painting, we are going to recover (again) the chair covers. We will either be putting vinyl material (which is the kind you can just wipe clean) or put a fun fabric with clear cover over them. Which would look a little 'grandma-ish' (love you, Grandma!) but would look better overall.

It's a big day! Lowes & "Fabric Galaxy", here we come!!

Ella's 9 month appt

Miss Ella Anne had her 9 month doctor appointment today and she was 16 pounds, 26 1/4" long. Her weight was a little concerning as she was only in the 10th percentile. After some discussion, the doctor (Dr. Heather Owens of Boise Pediatrics is awesome!) said that her low weight was probably because of the week she had the stomach flu (she pooped for about a week straight...I know, t.m.i.). But it still concerned me so we're gonna pump her full of food. We're suppose to go back in a month to have her weighed again.

So, the next time you see you, don't be afraid to shove some food in her mouth ;)

It's a Beautiful Life

Addison Violet-such a beauty.

Lainey Lea. I loved her little outfit last weekend!

Steve Looney. Still handsome and going to retire this year. I keep joking with him that we're going to start a cooking club since we'll both be home ;) I'm sure he'll eat it if I cook it!

My little angel pulling on Grandpa Steve's hair. I love this picture of my mom, too. Her smile lights up my heart.

Lukas doing a summer sault in the middle of his soccer game. Yep, that's my boy!
Who knew they had a jungle gym at the soccer field (that's what Lukas is thinking). Everyone else was with the ball, and Lukas was just swinging on the net!

It's a beautiful life...

Back in the Swing of Things

I haven't posted a blog in a really long time. And I don't think I even have anyone following me at this point anyway, so there's not a lot of pressure. I've decided I need to give up my facebook time and devote it to blogging instead. This way, I can at least print off my entries and make a little scrapbook at the end of the year. My friend does that and she's a smarter woman than I am :)

A lot has been happening I hope will be note-worthy. Ella is starting to wave good-bye (which from an almost 9 month old is adorable!) and Lukas had his first soccer game Saturday. He has practice again tonight. Hopefully he'll get enjoy playing.

And then there's my photography hobby. As many of you know (whoever you are!) I have been in love with photography since high school when I was the year book photographer. Recently, I've been able to acquire a much nicer camera with some decent lenses. I'm enjoying learning the digital side of photography so I can document my children and our families in living color. I'm also finally learning Photoshop, which is something I've wanted to learn for a few years now! I think there will be lots of pictures!

Anyway, here goes nothin'...!
